Bluster

A blustery post-punk Chicago band

Bluster weaves together a mix of garage rock and post-punk to arrive at our unique indie sound. We channel 90s and 80s influences such as Hüsker Dü, Mudhoney, Sonic Youth, Fugazi, and the Minutemen, but we also have a soft spot for Led-Zeppelin-esque classic rock, Big-Band-era jazz, and even a touch of vintage country. Described by one fan as “the Pixies meets the Raconteurs with Kim Gordon’s cousin”, our trio features dual female/male vocals and rocks a continuum from blisteringly fast glorious noise to ethereal moments of dissonant beauty.
